  • What is a life coach?

     A life coach is like a personal trainer for your mind. Through coaching, you will learn to examine your thoughts and identify what is holding you back. You will learn how to break out of destructive patterns of thinking and limiting beliefs and create new thoughts that help you reach your goals and love your life. A coach helps you take an objective look at your life and make decisions about what is working for you and what is working against you. A coach will help you create a plan to reach your goals and walk alongside you on your journey from where you are to where you want to be.

  • How is a coach different from a therapist?

     When an athlete gets injured, they need  a doctor or physical therapist to diagnose and treat the injury. When they have a performance goal, they need a coach to help set appropriate goals and monitor progress. The same is true for life coaching. A life coach is not a medical professional. A mental health diagnosis requires a mental health professional. The role of a coach is to help you get from where you are now to where you want to be. A coach will help you enhance performance in any area of life that you choose to focus on. What could be better than that?!

     

    How does coaching work-the logistics?

    Coaching sessions are 1:1 over Zoom. Meeting weekly is most effective for creating change and achieving goals. Your coaching will be personalized to your schedule, goals and lifestyle.

    Can I coach myself?

    Yes- and you WILL! Throughout the process of working together, you will learn to use the coaching tools to manage your mind in any situation! The goal of coaching is for YOU to be able to create the change you desire in your life. My role is to teach you the tools to do that and support your journey along the way.

    I’ve tried to change before. How will this be different? 

    Through our weekly coaching sessions, you will receive the support you need to create sustainable change. Learning to manage your mind is not a trend or a fad. I use research proven, brain based techniques that work for anyone. I will teach you these tools, help you use them to create change in your life and support you as you learn to use them independently.
